18-year-old Sage goes into an antique
store and buys a pendant. Then she runs into an old woman who grabs
her and speaks some kind of spell: “Blessed of Amerach, cursed by
time's fate. Rise up, warrior priestess, embrace the powers that
await.” Sage wakes up in 1904 and a woman with red eyes and fangs
attacks her. Sage is told she is a Warper. Sage is taken in by the
Cerberus Society. I really liked Sage. She is tough, introverted,
awkward and she loves to read. I love how outspoken she is and I love
her unladylike snorts. This is a really good fast paced little story.
I was really liking it and I am excited that I already have the
second book which I can read right away. I hate having to wait for
the next installment of a story that I really love. 5 stars.
